Guten Morgen! Buell released its new café racer this week among all the range 2009 model.
Paul James, director of product communications Buell, they presented to the press around the world first avenue, Unter der Linden, a few steps away from the dismantled Berlin Wall. More specifically, we were in the streets throughout the city of Berlin at Potsdamer Plaza Metro station rave premixed concrete space hidden in the layers of a public station. Blending into the landscape of the common people, but unique and worth a look - just like the Buell 1125CR. And 'more than just a "racing bike Harley," as Buell is often described. CR is ready to compete in Japan.
In 2009, 1125CR café racer was unveiled in the shadow of a changing city, the center of the architecture both historic and modern and dynamic campaign that is timeless.
All 2009 Buell range consists of six models in three different lines: the street, adventure and sports. Models depend on the configuration of the engine and design intent, but continue the melting pot culture that has grown to illustrate the "American" ideal. Composed of parts made in China, Italy, Germany and the United States has a global synergy of buyer, developer and supplier blurred into one package shaped 1125CR.

We all know that since my last report, the new Buell Cafe Racer was unveiled and journalist tested in Germany, despite being ready to go to the local race track in recent weeks. We also wonder why we had to wait and why Buell chose a European proof of the motives of an American sport bike.
Always on the stage, poking our cameras where they belong, this time in the saddle Fonzie was the experience of the café racer in action. The first two days in Germany, we have warmed our rubber a year super smooth pavement Spreewaldring test center 30 minutes south of Berlin, Germany. Buell intended to be a day when focused on braking, cornering and acceleration, and how the mapping updates performed on the Helicon engine. I chalked as a refresher course and trail riding. Round and round like a merry old fool, clicking off laps like there's no tomorrow, time seems shorter as the day progressed. Aside from learning Helicon 146HP in a controlled environment, I had a blast getting my first time to track more than two years at a cafe racer.

Fortunately, the technical track of 1.67 miles is more like the streets of the big willow over here in California, perfect for the steep rake XB-like 1125CR. It does not take long for anyone to notice the CR does not have much in the way of managing the flow of air that supports a minimal bikini windscreen similar to the XB model line. Without the big bubble to push high-speed vibe, shakes her head is excellent and feasible on the gauge marks indicated on the digital speedometer. The "quiet zones" as Buell calls the space behind the fairing of the 1125R is now gone, so you are more exposed to wind and weather. This is where fashion wins over function - your inner thug can not hide the aerodynamic forces on the CR. It is built for fun, not racing. Big Speed, however, not completely ruin the fun. When we got our kicks on the highway, we did that flickers a few floating about a hundred miles an hour.
As a newly constructed training center along a common path of weekend warriors, STC offers something I had never heard before - I call them micro-track days. For 20 euros, a runner past, prove its workability and take a 20 minute session on the track and move on.

Translate to about $ 90 USD per hour, it does not seem to agree when comparing the time of a full track day in America, but it's an interesting idea. This is certainly euros to burn as street riots and cheaper than visiting a brothel.
Case, took fast on open roads we did on the track. Not only is it easier to go faster in a straight line without curves or baffles, it is legal here! On the track, it was difficult to get over a quarter speed, but in the land of the road, you can get full overdrive. The police will stop if not handled recklessly speed. Speed is not limited, but aggressive driving is not tolerated in Germany. Fortunately, the locals know how to drive and use your mirrors, turn signals and lane discipline. It's amazing how much more rewarding road travel can be when everyone agrees! And when you can take your competition to the track at a moments notice, life as a motorcyclist is even better in Europe.

As reported in our extravagant effect Shootout leaf Literbike created by construction of the full level and subsidies have been lost in road feedback than more rigid and compact Clubman-style handlebar. Conical and sturdy-looking, they are demonic, horn-like appearance. Only slightly smaller than the R model geometry, aggressive driver is unless you decide to purchase the optional vertical mullion bar.

Although the thought of Pete R "has piercing eyes," the style of the new CR is nothing short of threatening a lighthouse 'browed', minimized windscreen and popped-collar-like fairing side panel. What is the lowest front-end also now a unique lighthouse.
The mirrors are positioned differently in the form of the R and now speeds up to 80 +. With the top of the handlebar accessory however, the mirrors are mounted further back in your line of sight, so you look under the armpit, instead of on your forearm for a clear view behind you.

Surprisingly, it is smaller body does not produce a lighter bike overall compared to the 1125R. At high speed, even without the front fairing quite massive, the front of liquid through the side fairing more scoops. CR showed us the quickest way to the cafe next door can be had at nearly 154 mph, slightly slower than the more aerodynamic R, which might reach a top speed of 162 mph. Taste very sweet, but short of actual speed. I did about as strong as the field 215 (km / h) before we catch up with traffic in the restricted section of the road. Contrary to popular belief, not every mile of the highway has a speed limit unlimited. Discernment, keen attention and precise handling is required. Fortunately, this seems trivial, Germany, as was indicated by the M5, which quietly slipped in and the back of our group of riders enraged over 200kph.
When I spoke with the coaches on the day within the track Buell going to Las Vegas for the chair-in-the opinion of the updated models, which varied. After assembling the '08 and '09 models coming now, I would say that have plagued the 1125 (R) to over a dozen tracks of this year to educate current and future Buell owners in the safety of a circuit closed. MSF instructor Dennis Baker and Detroit philanthropist has been uploaded to the R and CR back to back this month and said he had to buy the R for the purpose of riding - are mostly track use. He will say "the bubble allows high speeds without any steering damper."

I had my last session on the track aboard the 1125R Waldow Germany only to compare the two models, having never flown R, and my first impression was that it looked like the generals. With the term flagship model bouncing my helmet for the ride of 20 minutes, I could easily see what Dennis meant. The fairing not only a bit-obstructive to a quieter ride, but I never passed the small t in this track.
It covers the chassis combined with black powder wheels are Pirelli's patented zero-degree radial MIRS construction Steel-Belted Diablo Corsa IIIS. These are the same construction is found in a powerful sport-touring alternate-ring-for-the-1125 Pirelli Strada. Corsa III has done all that could pave the potholes on the road around the street, but it seems that just opened on the pavement in some areas. Even if they are as nothing but the Cadillac is really tame the streets of the East German. Long lasting double compound Diablo Corsa IIIS are perfect for a big hole in the road bikes. Designed for long-term ability to road racing and good overall performance offered by friction than relatively soft shoulder, DCIIIs provide more grip and better handling than the previous stroke. Inside track passes another coach told me, he finally replaced the rear after 1100 miles in all bands, and long-lasting in my book.

Street Fighting target market receives maximum lean angle, and confident acceleration out of corners.
Although highway was the highlight of our trip, the speed is not everything. The German countryside was actually more meaningful and enjoyable. Blasphemous to say something, I know, but it is the street where we got to experience that most homeowners want. I was able to experience the comfort, performance management, rather than just hanging for dear life.
To answer these questions, we visited about 250 km of the campaign in Germany to find ergonomic gripes, surprisingly. Typically, for a more aggressive sport bike standard, the pressure of the wrist is the first to ruin my day, but not in CR. Buell noted the wrist degree angle in its press material as 138 degrees. I had never noticed these numbers, but I expect to find that useful in the future as a convenient benchmark.

For 2009, the cleaning sheet BRP-Rotax that we first saw the 2008 125R has undergone some changes. Fortunately pull Buell linear torque curve and still resides. You probably already heard about the problems of supply and another reported a slow acceleration. Buell responded with spark and fuel maps that provide the economy reallocates more than 20 percent more fuel, reduces the pilot felt the heat, improves the maneuverability of output and all major low speed. EIC Duke called for the acceleration of the 2008 Helicon "lethargic" in the lines, taking into account the apparent decrease of torque and speed slow-Vee 72 degrees. Perhaps the updated 2008 model have adjusted our shootout result. Once we have a new engine look at the map of 1125, perhaps to link these views. But we have to wait and see when we get a CR on our chopping board to test against the likes of Street Triple or Tuono 1050.
It does seem that we have a fun time in 2009! These updates can be found in 2009, and the dealer recently installed the 2008 update. Po 'heat was noticed to my right foot, when first leaving the CR, but was a little' cool autumn temperatures - riding in California, it is better to begin testing for the model A.
MSRP will be $ 11,695 in 2009 1125CR which should be available in the coming weeks if your dealer does not already have one in his showroom.
